A Day in the Life of a Hobo Cat

While they await their forever homes, kitties of Hobo Hotel are busy all day…

8am
Every morning, some 70 cats and kittens at Hobo Hotel wait for their servants—a.k.a. Hobo Hotel caregivers— to fill their food bowls. Some cats have special diets or medication and their foods are specially prepared.

9am
The daily task of cleaning each room begins! Can you imagine how many litter boxes are used by 70 cats?!

10am
On adoption days, the care center opens at 10am for visitors and potential adopters to meet their new best friends.

11am
Someone has to keep all of our kitties socialized so our caregivers play, cuddle, and do whatever it takes to help these kitties fit into any family.

12pm
Nap time! -at least for the cats. They’ve worked hard all morning and need their beauty sleep.

At some point during the day, the laundry starts… and never seems to end! You thought you had a lot of loads? All day, every day, shifts of towels, bed covers, blankets, etc. all go to the laundry room.

5pm
It’s time for the cats and kittens to have some peace and quiet, so they dismiss their staff for the night. Adoption hours close at this time.

Now that the hustle and bustle of the day is done, they shyer cats can start exploring. For some, the magic of the day has only just begun….
