Adoption Success

Safe and secure

Just as the cats and kittens of the Hobo Hotel know the pain of being rejected and the fear of living on the streets, they've experienced the joy of finding a loving home.

Below are stories of new and lasting relationships that come when the right purrson comes along.

Callie's Happy Tail

ICallie DSC00161 adopted Callie on March 29, 2010.

I wanted to let you know that since that time, she has grown into a beautiful and spoiled little girl.

She is very happy and adjusting well with the Yorkie we already owned.

I am attaching a picture of her taken once we got her used to us.

If you have a baby picture of her at the shelter, I would love that for her scrapbook.

She was altered on January 18 if that helps your records at all. DSC00197

The second one was the day we brought her home and the first one was 2 weeks later.

Our cat Binky

 Dear Hobo Hotel,

We adopted Binky from Petsmart in Lake Charles.

I like to say that he chose us because he was the one that kept trying to get our attention.

When we got him home he was a little nervous, but he soon became the king of the castle. He is a very active kitty and at times a very clumsy one.

One day we let him explore the porch while we were outside and being the curious one ended up floating on a raft in the middle of the pool. He was a little wet when we got him out, but he just went lay in the sun on the pouch swing.

He is a very laid back cat.

Thank you for giving us Binky. I should have pictures next time.

Squirt

Hi, my name is Becky Caseldine, and me and my fiance adopted the gray cat, Squirt.

When we went into Petsmart, we also brought our cat, Lillie. She didn't seem too thrilled about him, but she seemed to get along with him best.

We had two more cats coming, and one was a dominant male. Since Squirt was in a kennel with Goober and tended to be the more passive one, we figured he would work out.

When we brought him home Lillie didn't want anything to do with him. She hissed and growled at him whenever he so much as looked at her. But he kept his head held high.

Hobeaux

I adopted Hemmingway, 6-paw, kitten a few months ago.  He is now called, "Hobeaux" after the Hobo Hotel with a cajun flare.  He's getting big and is so sweet, he loves to plays with our 18-month nephew, Hunter. I'm so proud of Hobeaux that I'm sending a few pictures of him.

Thank you,
Barbara LaBauve

DeDe/Delilah's Success Story

The Hobo Hotel is always looking for success stories so we ask those who have adopted to give us an update and photos.  Delilah's new owner writes: "Delilah was "DeDe" at Hobo Hotel, however, being the diva princess that she is, she deserved a name to match. Thus, she became "Delilah". Dramatic, huh? She's beautiful, funny, fun and affectionate! She has absolutely stolen my heart! Here's the beauty now...."

Simon's Success Story

A letter from Simon's new owner:

Dear Carol (Hobo Hotel),

Even though we miss Billy terribly, Simon has quickly become part of the family. He is full of life and always on the go. He certainly can make us laugh. He's even been known to play fetch. He is definitely one of a kind.
