Josephine is a a black, adult, female who likes to get pets, and is definitely a lap cat. She is a little shy at first, but just sit down and she will snuggle up in your lap. She is somewhat cautious of new people, so she may require a little time and attention to adjust to a new household. She would do well with other cats and children given the proper introduction. She is about 5 years old. She is such a sweetheart--come out and let her climb in your lap. You will fall for her charms!
Molly is sweet, tortoiseshell, adult female. She is a little shy and may need a quieter household where her people are patient and give her time to adjust. She likes to get pets and attention. She likes to perch up high and keep watch. In her forever home, she wants to start watching her figure, as it is too hard to resist the bowls of food that are put out for all the cats she shares with now. She should do well with mature teens and other cats. She is about one and a half years old.
Josh is a sweet, black and white, adult, male. He came to us as a kitten and has been with us almost his whole life, about 5 years. He is shy and needs a quiet household with a committed, patient family who will work to gain his trust. He likes pets, but gets nervous and coughs as you approach him, but as he slowly gets used to you, your house, and your attention, he will become more outgoing. He would do best with mature teens and would be okay with other cats..
Mocha was rescued from an oil rig when she was just a kitten and has been at the shelter about two years now. She is a shy, female, adult grey tabby. She is becoming more and more friendly and starting to enjoy people and attention. We have learned that she likes pats rather than stoking pets. she will need a patient, committed quiet household, willing to work with her to win her trust. She could do well with other cats with the proper introduction , but we feel she is too shy to do well with children.
Moxie was rescued from an oil field when she was just a kitten about two years ago. She is a shy, female, adult brown tabby. She is becoming more and more friendly and starting to enjoy people and attention. She will need a patient, committed quiet household, willing to work with her to win her trust. When she gets to know you, she will come right to you and loves to be petted and will roll over for you to pet her tummy! She is an almost two-year-old, brown tabby with a medium length coat and a fluffy tail.
Penelope is a super friendly, sweet, adult, dilute orange tabby female. She is also FIV positive. This means that her immune system is compromised, but she could still live a very long life. She could also live with other cats (following a consultation with the vet prior to your decision to adopt). She would also be great for a family with kids. She LOVES our catio and would be happiest in a safe, outdoor enclosure, like a screened porch. She is about 5 years old. Please consider giving this very lovey girl a forever home!

She is probably too shy to be good with kids, but would do well with other cats with the proper introduction. Suzi would love to live her retirement years in a forever home
Waldene would make a great mouser/Barn Cat. Or she could be an indoor/outdoor cat. We'd love to find her a forever home where she could be appreciated, even though she is so shy. She would do well with other cats, but is too shy for kids who may want a cuddly pet. She was rescued as a kitten about two years ago, but just has not learned to fully trust people yet.

He would do well with mature teens, but is too shy for little kids. He would do well with other cats.
KK is a female, adult, dilute orange tabby, about 3 years old. She would be a great barn cat/mouser. She is extremely shy of people and would not really be a pet, but she would learn to trust her owners over time and appreciate a good outdoor home with shelter and regular meals. She could pay you back by keeping your barn or shop clear of mice and eventually may become your friend. Got a place for her or know of someone who does? Please share her story.
Sir Phillip is a grey tabby, senior, male, about 11 years old. He is shy and likes getting pets, but on his own terms. She can be a lap kitty at times, but likes her space other times. She is on a special diet for a sensitive tummy (IBS) that can sometimes give her litter box issues. She would prefer a family with preteens versus small children. She does ok with the other cats at the shelter. Come by and meet her!

Please consider donations to Hobo Hotel in her name!
Lando is a black, adult male who has never fully trusted all people, although he has picked a few that he will let pet him. When he hears them, he comes running for attention and love. Lando would love for someone to take him on as a project and help him with his socialization. He is not adoptable at this time, but we are hoping that if a devoted volunteer works with him, he will learn to trust and become a good pet.
Nala is a sweetie! She is a all grey, female, adult. She has a well controlled seizure disorder that requires medication. Any serious adopter will receive a consultation with our vet before the final decision to adopt. Nala would be best with preteens versus small children. She is good with other cats. Wren is a small white and grey tabby female about 6 months old. She enjoys attention and calm petting--While the photographer took these pics, Wren was soon leaning into the pets and definitely wanting more. With her time at the shelter she has gained so much trust and loves people, but does not want to be picked up. She would do okay with other cats and would do best with older kids who understand her need to not be picked up.
Snowflake is a beautiful, all-white, female, about 10 months old. She is a little shy, but enjoys getting pets. She will need a little time to get used to a new home and you may have to work a little to earn her trust. She does okay with the other cats at the shelter and is recommended for teens who know to move slow and play and pet to get her to trust.
Ms. Darbonne is desperately seeking to rehome a neighbor's cat. Clyde is between 3-5 years old and neutered. He is used to going in- and outdoors. He is sweet and likes attention, but is getting none at this time. His first owner moved and left him behind. A neighbor took him in but died of a heart attack in October. His elderly parents (one of whom is now in a rehab facility) can do little more than put out food. His siblings are not interested in helping. Ms. Darbonne has her neighbor's permission to seek placement for Clyde. She would be happy to schedule a time for you to visit Clyde and see if he can become part of your household. Call her at 337- 263-3091.
